The Philippines is a great country but there are still some great things that people need to know that is quite not as good. When you read about the good things about a country so you can decide if you really want to move for studying, you need to also look at the bad ones. This is why we are going to know about some of the disadvantages that you may have to face in the Philippines.
● Food:
India is a country where food is really spicy and is also cooked differently. People in India use different kinds of oils, they fry their food, they bake some and a lot more things. This is something that the students might not find in the Philippines. Because of this, the students might face problems in their eating habits. They might end up eating more junk than they should or would have to resort to cooking on their own most of the time. There are hostels where students get cooking gas. They can buy their own ingredients and cook food according to their interest and taste.
● Accommodation:
The best option is to stay inside the campus in the hostels provided by the universities. In India, you can find affordable PGs and Rent options but that might not seem true when you are in the Philippines. The PGs and Rented homes charge way more than the university hostel. Situations in India can be the opposite. You may find better and affordable accommodation options outside the university with better food availability. Also, the availability of well manufactured and furnished homes is less and expensive.
● Different Rain Conditions:
Mostly the climate stays the same as in India but the rainy season in the country is long. That means that other seasons are also not of the same duration. Because of this, some students might find it different to settle in. There are people who face great problems because of climatic differences and hence it is important that they know about this factor.
● Compulsory MCI Screening Test To Practice In India:
Indian students who have taken their undergraduate degree from medical colleges outside India, for instance, the Philippines, have to undergo the screening test to make themselves eligible for practising medicine in India. The test is conducted biannually by the government and the students have to study for it very seriously otherwise they would fail to pass the test. Students who wish to go study MBBS in Abroad must also give their application for an MCI eligibility certificate. This certificate is issued by the Government of India and students are advised to go through only those colleges that are present in the MCI list.
● Exposure To Multiple Distractions:
As it is very well known that the Philippines was under Spain and the United States. As a result, the culture is a mixed version of these two countries. This is the main reason why the Philippines has English as its national language. The mixed culture gave birth to the nightlife and late-night pubs. This may act as a distraction to the students if they are not very focussed about their studies. The happening nightlife often diverts them from the true motive of their arrival to this country.
