FMGE JUNE 2020 EXAM POSTPONED

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided to defer the conduct of the forthcoming Foreign Medical Graduate Examination to August/September 2020.

The revised schedule for the conduct of FMGE-JUNE 2020 shall be published on the NBE website www.natboard.edu.in in due course.

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a nationwide examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in India. It is a mandatory exam for Indian citizens who have completed their medical education abroad and wish to practice medicine in India. However, the June 2020 FMGE exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this blog, we will discuss the reasons behind the postponement and its impact on candidates.

The FMGE June 2020 exam was scheduled to be held on 31st August 2020. However, due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases across India, the NBE postponed the exam to a later date. The decision to postpone the exam was taken in the interest of the safety of the candidates and the exam conducting staff. The NBE also cited the restrictions imposed by various state governments on the movement of people and transportation as a reason for the postponement.

The FMGE exam is a highly competitive exam, and candidates prepare for months to crack it. The postponement of the exam has affected the preparation schedule of the candidates. Many candidates had planned their study schedule and leave from work according to the exam date. The sudden change in the exam schedule has left them in a state of uncertainty, making it difficult for them to plan their future course of action.

Another impact of the postponement is the mental stress that candidates have to go through. The FMGE exam is a highly stressful exam, and the uncertainty surrounding the exam date has added to the stress levels of the candidates. Many candidates have been waiting for this exam for a long time, and the postponement has only added to their anxiety and stress.

The NBE has not yet announced a new date for the FMGE June 2020 exam. However, they have assured the candidates that the exam will be conducted as soon as the situation improves. The NBE has also advised the candidates to keep checking their official website for the latest updates regarding the exam.

In conclusion, the postponement of the FMGE June 2020 exam has been a setback for the candidates. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives, and the FMGE exam is no exception. However, the NBE’s decision to postpone the exam is in the interest of the safety of the candidates and the exam conducting staff. We hope that the situation improves soon, and the candidates can appear for the exam without any further delay.
