About Amur State University
Amur State University is a rapidly growing university located in the far eastern region of Russia. With 45 years of outstanding higher education, the university combines traditional local values with modern education systems and uses the latest technology to explore new trends in education and sciences. Originally founded in 1975 as Blagoveshchensk Technological Institute, it was the first institute of light industry in the far east. It was later renamed Blagoveshchensk Polytechnic Institute in 1992 and eventually became the Amur State University in 1994. Amur State Medical Academy, established on June 26, 1952, was originally named Blagoveshchensk State Medical Institute. In 1996, it was converted into Amur State Medical Academy and admitted to the list of medical schools in Europe, allowing the university to align the training of doctors with European standards.
