What Makes MBBS Decision Difficult for the Indian Students to Pursue?

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a big challenge when it comes to cracking exams to get into premier colleges or even decent medical college. In India, NEET, AIIMS, JIPMER, etc are difficult to crack. As a choice of career, the doctor is a Nobel professional, and millions of students dream of becoming one. With a handful of MBBS seats in India, there is a cut-throat competition to take admission. Over 6-10 lakhs students appear for exams every year for a few thousand seats, not to get driven by false information, MBBS in India is actually tough luck to get into.

  • MBBS in Government Medical College at State Level in India: 14000 seats – 2% Success Ratio
  • MBBS in Government Medical Colleges (AIPMT): 3000 seats – 0.5% Success Ratio
  • MBBS in Private Medical College: 14000 seats – 2% Success Ratio
  • MBBS in Deemed Universities: 5000 seats – 1% Success ratio

If you look at the aggregate, if have 36000 seats in India which leaves us with a 5.50% success ratio. Now, if you fall in the reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, etc then your chances might increases. On the other hand, if you’re from the General category, then decrease your chances as from the total number of seats many of them reserved under the quota system.   • Choose for B.Sc. even though you dreamt of doing MBBS.
