As per the latest news, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE Board) has canceled its Class 10th and Class 12th Board Exams 2020. Today i.e. 25 June 2020, CBSE informed Supreme Court that the exams that were scheduled from July 1-15 stand canceled. Due to the coronavirus pandemic leading to nationwide lockdown, the exams were paused with the possibility to postpone for some subjects. With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, lakhs of students and their parents appealed to the Supreme Court for the pending exams to be canceled

The final order will be passed by the Supreme Court tomorrow at 10:30 am.
SG Tushar Mehta informed the Court that CBSE won’t conduct any exams taking a cue from the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE). Those students who opt-out of the board’s exam might need to appear for the exam in the future which will be assesses in accordance with the past exam they took.
Latest Update for Class 1oth and 12th CBSE Boards Exams 2020
Unlike Class 10th exams, Class 12th students will have an option i.e. attend exams or take alternative assessment policy. based on the past three exams. The Solicitor General told the court that the assessment results will be out by July 15. This means a grading system will be followed by the CBSE. This will be assessed according to the pre-board marks obtained by the student. Another proposal has been made to use internal assessment scores or already conducted exams. An official confirmation is yet to be made.
Other exams to be postponed
Final exams of many universities to entrance exams can be postponed in the future due to the rising cases of coronavirus in India. The final decision is yet to be made to ensure the safety of students and the best way to conduct tests for grading the students.
