So, your application has been accepted for studying abroad(MBBS in Abroad), and you are feeling very excited to go to your new place of living and just counting the days for it. But as the day is approaching, you are also worried about what you are going to pack in your luggage, how you will fit all your items in 2-3 suitcases? Well, this is the problem of every student who is going to study abroad to achieve his/her dreams. This article will help you in making a perfect plan for your luggage, what you should put and what you should avoid for packaging. Let’s start.

List of Necessary Items for Packing

  1. Clothing Items

  • Undergarments for up to two weeks
  • Socks for at least two weeks worth and some woolen pair of socks
  • Shirts – Short sleeve and long sleeve
  • Undershirts
  • 3-4 Hoodies or sweatshirt
  • Shorts
  • 3-4 pair of jeans
  • 2-3 Belt
  • Skirts – for girls
  • 1-2 Tracksuits
  • Pajamas
  • Swimsuits, if you are going to a warmer climate
  • Sweaters
  • Coats and Jackets, at least 2 if you are going to the colder climate

Some Extra Items Required for Studying Abroad

  • Local Currency – up to Rs.25000
  • A Purse or wallet
  • All your important documents including ID card, PAN card, Passport, plane tickets, visa, Debit card, etc.)
  • Cell Phone – You may be unable to use it in other countries, but you may require it in case of emergency during your domestic flights.
  • Outlet adapter
  • Laptop with charger
  • Camera with its charger
  • Bedsheets
  • Bathing towels
  • Some hangers
  • Sleeping Bags – These are required if you don’t like sleeping on publicly used sheets, also some hostels charge an extra penny for providing sheets.
  • For your prescription drugs, make sure that you have your doctor’s prescription with you.
  • A diary to write important things, and your travelogues.
  • An iPod/ MP3 player
  • A bag for daily use
  • The water bottle that you can carry everywhere

From the above-mentioned list of items feel free to add any other item which you know you will be requiring every day. And avoid putting unnecessary items in your luggage that you will need only once or twice during your whole stay period.
